Mr Simon Marsh MA MD FRCS
Consultant Surgeon & Surgical Director
Simon Marsh trained at Trinity College Cambridge and the Clinical School, Addenbrookes Hospital. He was one of the few students to be awarded the William Harvey Studentship in consecutive years.
He qualified in 1987, having been awarded a BA in 1985. In 1992 he was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England and granted an MA from Cambridge.
In 1996 he was awarded an MD by the University of Cambridge and received the Intercollegiate Fellowship in General Surgery.
In 1999 having been appointed as Consultant surgeon in Colchester he joined the team at 108 Harley Street.
Now a senior consultant surgeon in Colchester, he retains an active interest in cancer research and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer to the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the University of Essex and Surgical Director of the Ivry Street Minor Surgical Unit in Ipswich, which undertakes over 1,000 cases annually.
In 2006 he halved his workload within the NHS to dedicate more time to work at 108, Harley Street, where he founded The London Thyroid Clinic.
